Organic Wines

The “nectar of the gods” wine since ancient Greece takes on a divine role. The roots, the vine, the branches are from always a metaphor for life and … in my opinion, also for the family: my family.

Our wine is produced in the “Astraco di Burlò” district, in the Noto territory. It is a small vineyard overlooking the city of Noto defined by Cesare Brandi as “the stone garden”. The vineyard, surrounded by green expanses of citrus , carob , almond and olive groves, is always kissed by the sun and by a light breeze coming from the sea. In this uncontaminated environment, our nectar begins its journey that will take it to your table.

The Mazzone Sebastiana Farm, using the most modern winemaking techniques, cultivates and vinifies grapes in absolute respect for the oldest tradition, enriching the product with the flavor of artisanal production. The owned vineyards are cultivated “always” according to the rules of organic viticulture, to protect the environment and human health. The grape harvest is carried out approximately from the second decade of September, and from these grapes a wine is obtained which preserves the richness of this splendid Sicilian land. Warm and enveloping aroma, sober acidity and powerful dry extract, pleasant on the palate and suitable for aging. It just waits to be tasted.

TASTING NOTES:

COLOUR = Intense ruby. 
SMELL = The nose is concentrated on notes of cherries, blackberries, violets to marry later on vanilla, cloves, licorice and tobacco.
PALATE = The taste is warm and full-bodied, balsamic, tannins present with velvety sensations at the end.
CHARACTERISTICS = fresh and well structured wine. Short passage in oak barrels.
PAIRINGS = red meats, roasts, game, cheeses.
 It should be served between 16-18 degrees.

COLOUR: Bright ruby red.

SMELL: Intense, complex with fruity and floral notes; hints of berry, plum and cherry, followed by freshly picked red flowers.

PALATE: Warm, soft, velvety. Balanced, well integrated tannins. Good acidity. It closes with a long and intense fruity finish.

CHARACTERISTICS: new, fresh, young wine of high organoleptic prestige. Well structured and immense drinkability..

PAIRING: the good acidity goes well with the flavor of stiff meats, with roasts and aged cheeses. It should be served at 18 degrees

PALATE: Warm, enveloping, silky tannin. Excellent sour shoulder, very pleasant balanced and drinkable.

CHARACTERISTICS: it is a new wine of high organoleptic prestige, complex and of immense drinkability and pleasantness. Waits to be tasted.

PAIRINGS: its softness envelops red meats and braised meats. The good acidity is combined with the flavor of white meats and rabbit but also of roasted and grilled tuna. Also fascinating as a meditation wine.
